The ArmorThane system

Tried, true and built to be repeated.

Chemistry, equipment, training and support engineered to work together — so every crew can deliver the same seamless, durable result on every structure.

01 · Chemistry

Linings that cure in seconds and last for decades.

Plural-component polyurea reacts almost instantly when sprayed, building a thick, seamless, flexible membrane that bonds to properly prepared concrete and steel.

  • Fast gel and cure for short outages
  • Chemical resistance for H₂S-rich environments
  • Elongation that bridges cracks
  • Primers and prep products matched to the system
What is polyurea?

On the job

The manhole method, step by step.

The same disciplined process ArmorThane teaches every applicator. Preparation is close to half the job — and the reason linings last.

  1. 1

    Inspect

Assess corrosion, infiltration and structural condition; plan bypass if needed.

  2. 2

    Clean & prep

High-pressure wash and abrade to sound, profiled concrete.

  3. 3

    Repair

Stop active leaks, fill voids and rebuild bench and invert.

  4. 4

    Prime

Apply the matched primer for adhesion on concrete or steel.

  5. 5

    Spray

Apply polyurea to specified thickness in a seamless, monolithic lining.

  6. 6

    Verify & return

Check thickness and continuity, then return to service — often the same day.

02 · Equipment

Choose how you spray.

Start lean or roll out a fully self-contained rig. Every option includes the gear and training to put it to work.

Why polyurea wins the spec.

Criteria Our pick ArmorThane polyurea Epoxy Cementitious liner
Cure & return to service Gels in seconds — service often in hours Typically hours to a day or more Often requires days of cure
Flexibility & crack bridging High elongation bridges moving cracks Rigid — can crack with movement Rigid — cracks with the substrate
Seamless coverage Spray-applied, monolithic, no seams Seamless, usually multi-coat Cold joints between lifts
H₂S & acid resistance Excellent, formulation dependent Good to excellent Cement is vulnerable to acid attack
Application window Wide temperature & humidity range Sensitive to cold and moisture Tolerant, but slow to cure
Build per visit High build in a single mobilization Moderate per coat High build
